I've used a number of other plug in batteries, but this one has a lot more juice for a compact package. The bonus is that I can watch movies on the plane while I'm charging my phone. The battery is small enough to fit in your pocket, but powerful enough to last all day. During the flight I watched 5 hours of video (2 feature movies), then listened to music while playing games for another 2 hours. All of this and the battery was only down 1 (of 5) LED's!!! This is on top of "topping off" my phone's internal battery from 80% to 100%. The music + games had previously drained my phone's battery on a 4 hour flight. In addition to the long life of the battery, it's also endowed with 2 other great features. First, it is designed to let you watch video landscape mode, a big plus. Second, the built-in USB charging capability is great. . . it avoids the need to carry extra cables (assuming you have a USB device with you on the trip). It appears that the connection movement could damage ther female connection into the ipod or fail at the male connection on the battery.
